Making a client feel important is a key factor in keeping them as a client. There are many ways you can do this but a welcome packet is a simple, economical and much appreciated way to do this.
I have been wanting to for this for years and I have taken advantage of my shoulder surgery and the time I have been laid up to get the forms and flyers I wanted to include in them ready to go. I feel like this will help give people the information about our shop they need to have, like policies, services, boarding information and set us apart from others in our area.
Before I get to the contents of the packets, I wanted to discuss other marketing items I have that I have been using. I have Bi-fold Business cards with calendars inside, business card magnets, FaceBook page cards with our address and a QRC code on the back and I bought the marketing templates from the Pet Grooming Marketing Kit website and added my own colors and clipart. From those I was able to make boarding flyers, referral coupons, spa menus and many other things as well to include in the packets.
I made two different packets. New Client and Puppy Packets. They include the same thing flyerwise and informational sheetwise, PLUS a page on how to maintain their puppy’s coat at home.
I found a packet of double pocket folders (like used in school classes) at Big Lots that had 25 folders for under $7, so I bought 200 of them to ensure I had them when needed.
There is a place in front for a business card and on the other front of pockets I used glue dots to secure a FaceBook card and a magnet for the shop. I want to make sure people can find us easily and by providing them with all of these cards they will be able to do that!
I have 5 different pages of text I include in each packet currently (that may change soon to add in three more).

Those templates are fully customizable and extremely simple to use.

I hand that paperwork out to people when they come in so that they can bring it back completed and I can finish the final paperwork at the end of my day when I am catching up on everything.
These packets have been a huge hit with new clients and puppy clients alike and they might make an awesome addition to your marketing program as well.
